The district finally rescinded the offer to hire Mr. Suniaga. I am completely drained after these past weeks but I am relieved he will not be stepping foot in our school. We need to stay vigilant to ensure things stay this way.

It has come to our attention that Mr. Suniaga- a health/phys ed teacher dismissed last year from the Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center due to inappropriate behavior toward young girls- has been hired as the new PE teacher at Beaver Creek Elementary.
We are shocked and outraged that he has been placed at Beaver Creek, and do not feel comfortable with him teaching our daughters or being a role model for our sons.
The details of the incidents at Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center were kept very hush hush. What we know for sure is that many students came forward reporting comments he made that should never have been made by a teacher. We know and have seen the letter that was sent home to all 6th grade center families. We also know that he was never allowed to return to Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center after being placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
We as parents, guardians, family members, or concerned citizens, reject this decision to hire Mr. Suniaga as a health/phys ed children for our young children at Beaver Creek Elementary. We are disgusted that putting him in our school would even be considered, let alone decided. Our kids deserve much better than this.
We are appealing to our principal, Dr. Lawless, our school board director Carl Croft, the DASD School Board including Board President Jane Bertone, Superintendent Emilie Lonardi, Vice President Carl Croft, and board members Lee Wisdom, Rebecca Britton, Ted Rauth, David Kring, Jason Benfield, Jaime Mehler, and Colleen Cranney, and requesting a new teacher with an excellent reputation be hired immediately. We don't want Mr. Suniaga at our school.

The momentum behind this is painful because of the reality it reflects but I am grateful to see so many of you refusing to look away. This is exhausting work and I have plenty of days where I wonder if anyone is listening. Seeing this level of support keeps me moving toward the next step.

The numbers are rising but the school board is still silent. Please get this in front of anyone who will listen because we need to hit our goal before I can force a real conversation with the administration.

Having to have a supervisor to monitor a teacher shows me you don’t have trust in that said teacher. If you don’t have trust then I don’t have trust in that school district for the safety of my child. If a teacher is not above reproach then they should not be teaching.
He taught PE at Brandywine Wallace in the 1990's. He made my daughter feel ugly and fat. She developed anorexia and body dysmorphia, he is a mean and sick man. If I could sign this a thousand times, I would. He should never be allowed around young and fragile females.
Once DASD got wind this teacher was let go and under investigation for inappropriate behavior at MC they should have immediately retracted their offer. My grandson goes to BC and his well being/safety, as well as all kids at BC, is far more important than this one teachers right to teach.
My children had him at Marsh Creek 6th grade center. Cannot believe it took this long for him to be fired!! He should NEVER be around elementary school children! He ruined many children at Marsh Creek! He does not deserve to teach
So the teacher was accused of inappropriate comments and actions towards 12 year olds and then the district places him in an elementary school with an even younger age group? No.
I will pay $50,000 to whoever can find Mr. Suniaga’s jail cell and set him free

My daughter was in one of his classes at MC this year, she said he asked the girls during a health discussion to raise their hands “if they were shaving yet” she said he compared girls in the class and not in the class on stages their of development. I reported all to the principal.
