The EMTs and Paramedics of Rural Metro Ambulance that respond to the emergencies for the residents of Rochester and Monroe County demand a fair contract! These selfless trained professionals come to the aid of those in need any time of the day or night regardless of the risk or weather conditions. They work long hours and make personal sacrifices, to place the safety and well being of their friends and neighbors above their own every day. They demand a fair contract to be able to support themselves and their families. What Rural Metro has offered so far is not even enough to keep up with the rising cost of living and healthcare. Please show your support for us by signing this petition and sharing it with your friends and neighbors. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Larry Onderdonk, Chairman Rural Metro SEIU Local-200

I can see the counter creeping up toward that next big mark and honestly it feels like we might actually get someone to listen if we keep this momentum going right now. Think about who in your contacts hasn't seen this yet because honestly we need that extra push to make sure they see we are serious while we have their attention.

The numbers are creeping up and I can barely keep track which makes me think of all the shifts these crews are pulling right now while we fight for a decent deal. If we can just get this over the hundred mark before the next meeting it might actually rattle some desks so please throw this link into a group chat or two if you have a second.

They aren't ambulance drivers. They are professionally trained providers who can administer live saving interventions when you need it most. Don't you want the best staff on hand? Keep them thriving.
When you consider the great work these people do in varying settings, many times unsafe, the wages they are presented are laughable. Management should be ashamed of what they offer! I have staff that answer phones in a medical office that start out making $11.25/hr and they are not working in unsafe conditions!
my friend has worked for rural metro for over 15 years and makes $13 an hour. that's disgusting. RM should be ashamed. those people are saving lives and that's it. pathetic!!
Being both a former employee and the spouse of a current employee, it's always been sad to me that we get paid so little when we are responsible for the lives of others, work up to 16 hour days and holidays away from our loved ones.
We need a wage that we can survive on!! Can you imagine not having to rely on overtime just to make a ok paycheck?? We need more per hour and better benefits. We stay in this field for love of the job. We need our company to show us they value our hard work!!
RuralMetro does a great service to rcsf schoolscwhen theycate called during a seriousvfight. please give them the benefits they deserve.
Would God turn his back on his angels? No, he wouldn't. These people are angels among us. Caring for us in our time of need regardless of who we are, where we live or what the weather conditions are . Rural Metro needs to anty up and do the right thing for it's employees.

a fair wage with protection from bullying and targeting is not to much to ask for. I only want to be able to afford to go home each day to a family I can support without having to work 2 jobs or 80 hours a week.
