Sault Ste Marie, ON. Paramedics have been without a contract since April of 2017. All they are asking for is comparable pay to the rest of the Province. They cover the area from Montreal River to Bar River and all the places in between. Paramedics in SSM are paid less than anywhere else in the Province. Stats show we have the busiest Paramedics and often they go without breaks and lunch. These men and women risk their lives to save ours. Please sign this petition and show your support. As someone who has been saved on multiple occasions by paramedics I must say they are some of the best people and hardest workers who deserve A LOT more. Thank You Always!
Why are the city Paramedics so far behind neighbouring paramedics on St Joesphs Island, Blind River and Thessalon? If the city is offering a fair contract should they make the same or more based on how busy they are?
Sure hope the paramedics get what they are asking for and deserve. I don’t think anyone of our council members or Mayor would do their job here in Sault Ste Marie. This is a disgrace that the City had to request that the Ontario Labour Board be involved and that they could not come to an agreement.
Our paramedics work their butts off, many of them going without breaks or meals to keep up with the amount of calls they get. They deserve to be treated and paid fairly.
My daughter is one of those hard working Paramedics and they deserve to be paid equally across the country. They saves lives every day... maybe one day even yours... think about that
The fact life saving employees for the city of sault even need to step foot in the cold and fight to be compensated is a joke. Shame on you Sault Ste. Marie.
Show paramedics the same respect that you show police and fire.

Our Paramedics risk a lot to meet the growing needs of our city and should not only have a fair wage, but a competitive one. Let's retain these trained and skilled workers here in the Soo.
