EMS POLICY#3202, FOR TRACY FIRE DEPARTMENT: This petition is in support of changing the current San Joaquin County Emergency response policy #3202.
We want our Tracy fire department to have the authority to respond to all EMS calls as they come in, not to only give the call to AMR as that delays care of those needing help. It's become a life-and-death situation that the current EMS dispatch is handled at the sole discretion of the AMR dispatch. Tracy residents suffer long wait times. Our fire department needs to respond to all EMS calls as they all have trained paramedics on staff. We need for our County Board of supervisors to listen to us, their Constituents. No other county in the state does this to their residents of California! Every resident in this county is at risk. We pay our taxes! We paid for our trained paramedics. It's our safety, our quality of life. It's our community.
It’s time for Tracy Fire Department to be dispatched to all 911 medical calls.
** It’s time for our Board of Supervisors to take action!**
** We need your support**

What's the point of having so many fire departments in town (less than 15min respond time for homes in tracy) if they can't respond to calls in their own jurisdiction. This is obserd and something needs to be done. Why would tracy risk the lives of their people? Smdh.
Had my dad with dementia and no mobility been made to wait for ems instead of the fire dept who responded within 4 min it would have been a bad situation.
Totally ridiculous that the firefighters in Tracy can't respond until EMS is considered not available. In S.F. When I had an emergency, both responded , why can't Tracy's first responders do the same. It's saves lives!
My daughter has chronic medical issues and in an emergency cannot wait for an ambulance to respond from Stockton! We have a fire department two blocks away and it's very sad that they could possibly not be called to help! Knowing this, could make It so I change where I live.
As a first responder myself, I cannot believe that a policy like this even exists...and as a tap payer, this is completely rediculous to not allow AMR or the fire department to respond for medical calls.
Lets make a change for the better and allow Tracy FD to be dispatched to ALL 911 medical calls
I want what I've been paying for. My experience with AMR is always poor at best.

There's been times where I've had heart issues and it took 20 minutes it made me get life Aid because of this I pay $51 a month so it's costing me just to have this because the ambulance doesn't come quick enough I really think the fire department should have the authority
