Florida state law states that there is no glass within a fenced in pool area or within 50 feet of an Un-fenced pool. Below are the rules that were given by the Department of Health. There are a few people that insist on having glass by the pool so to get around this rule they have drilled orange constructions fencing all the way around the pool. This has blocked our beautiful view from the pool just so a couple of people can drink out of a beer bottle or wine glass. By signing this petition you are saying that you want the orange fence removed immediately and absolutely no glass at the pool.
454.1.2.3.5 Rules and regulations signage.
Rules and regulations for bathers shall be installed in minimum 1-inch (25.4 mm) letters which must be legible from the pool deck, and shall contain the following:
1. No food or beverages in pool or on pool wet deck.
2. No glass or animals in the fenced pool area (or 50 feet (15 240 mm) from unfenced pool).
3. Bathing load: ___ persons.
4. Pool hours: __ a.m. to __ p.m.
5. Shower before entering.
6. Pools of 200 square feet (18.58 m2) in area or greater without an approved diving well configuration shall have “NO DIVING”, in 4 inch (102 mm) letters included with the above listed pool rules.
7.Do not swallow the pool water. This statement shall be added to signs at pools that conduct alterations as that term is defined.
8. If the pool includes a sun shelf, “WARNING: DROP OFF AT SUN SHELF EDGE IS _×_ FEET DEEP” in 4-inch (102 mm) letters.
9. If the pool includes a sun shelf, “DO NOT PLACE FURNITURE IN POOL.”

The orange fencing is still blocking our view and the rules remain ignored. I am currently reaching out to property management to demand they follow state law instead of hiding behind plastic mesh.

I cannot believe anyone would actually think that this fence is acceptable. This fence is a hazzord to any bird or small animal or child that may get caught up in it. How was this fence authorized and by whom.
They have installed temporary fencing by drilling holes in our pool deck, and also drilling holes in our recently finished columns. Destruction of all of our properties!!
That is the most useless and ugliest thing I’ve ever seen
This fence detracts from the beauty of the pool area.
Please remove the fence it is inhibiting my right to enjoyment of my property.

Get rid of the fence. Looks stupid and blocks the view of the ocean. No glass in the pool area. Simple fix. There are plenty of yeti and Tervis tumblers that keep drinks cold.
