This petition seeks to get approval on privacy fencing from buckhorn preserve newly formed HOA board members.
For the privacy and safety of my house in buckhorn preserve, and if you allow me to voice opinions of several other homeowners in this community, request approval on installing privacy fencing.
Reasons:
1. Almost all homes along Milano Avenue have privacy fencing except the newly closed homes. Privacy fencing installed by Lennar was discontinued impacting 5-6 homes. Lennar should have either raised the ground level or installed privacy fencing but sadly wasn't done.
2. Almost all the homes along this line are families with young children and, even though we live in a safe neighborhood, it makes us feel very exposed and uneasy about our children's safety if they want to spend time in their backyards.
3. Privacy fencing will provide additional security to us. Current approved metal fencings are not tall enough, can be easily jumped over and do not provide any security from stray animals.
We understand that, once the privacy fencing request is approved from HOA, homeowners will be responsible to install the privacy fencing at their own expense. We appreciate the community's support on this matter, privacy fencing under the right guidelines can make our families feel safer, our homes feel 'our own', all while not loosing the unity within our community..

I met with two board members this morning to discuss why the current metal fencing is inadequate for our families. They are reviewing our request, so please email the board members directly today to keep the pressure on them.

We bought our house on Milano specifically for the yard space. Having zero privacy is really frustrating. Please fix this.
1945 Rothesay Dr. Fully support this. The kids need a safe area to play that isnt visible from the whole street.
Yes please! I always have to cover up to go out and this is one thing i was looking forward to when we bought the house is to put a fence and get suntan in the back
Such a fencing will allow us better privacy and safety. Please approve the privacy fencing.
There are 2 issues here: - Fencing along Milano Ave My question is--what is in the original site plan submitted by Lennar to the Town of Apex? It does seem inconsistant that only part of Milano has the fencing. I will send a note to Charleston Mgmt as well as one of the new BOD members to ask that they explore this while Lennar is still "on the job". A request for privacy fencing should only be for those homes whose back yard directly faces Milano. I would not support a wholesale approval of privacy fencing wherever and whoever wants it. Several others on the forum then begin asking for fencing on corners or around their properties. This I would not support! We have friends in a community that allows privacy fencing; it is so closed-in it feels like you're saying "stay away". We moved here to be a part of a community. The metal fences are a joke. My dog keeps getting out and I can see right into my neighbors kitchen. We need real privacy fences back here.
