My attached signature expresses my interest in changing the Greyhawk Landing community pool rules to allow for the use of floats, noodles, and pool toys in at least one of the community pools.

Updates

June 26, 2015

I have been keeping a close eye on the message board and hearing from so many of you who just want a place where your kids can actually play. The board members are still ignoring my emails but I am currently putting together a formal presentation for the next homeowners association meeting to show them exactly why this change is overdue.

Seeing this level of support reminds me how much our families truly rely on that pool space for simple weekend joy. The momentum we have built confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by the current restrictions.

I think people should be able to have one personal flotation item with them like a noodle or a tube. It seems reasonable enough. However, I don't think we should have giant rafts and boogie boards, or the pool will get a bit crowded.

Me and my family are swimmers, we should be aloud to use our swimming gear in the swim lap lanes. We also took this to the board members at 3 different meetings; they blew us off.

I think it is time to update our rules to accommodate families and children who use the pool to have fun and use pool toys and noodles they use them in every development around here except us. Is our pool for show and tell and buy here and that's it. Just keep enforcing the no glass rule at the pools.

It sure would be nice for kids to be able to play with diving toys in the pool and for residents to be able to use pool fitness equipment (kickboards, pool buoys, noodles, etc) for a lap swim!

Use of a small inflatable ring is very helpful for my toddler who is too small for water wings. Please consider changing the rules to allow for their use so make pool time more enjoyable and conducive to children

It's almost a safety issue to NOT allow flotation devices. My toddler was told she couldn't use a small inner tube. She can't swim, and the arm floaties made her feel insecure. Additionally, it's discrminatory against people that may have physical health issues. And quite frankly, a family neighborhood not allowing reasonably sized floatation devices is just absurd. And grinch-like. Pro- floatation devices. Pro- having fun at the pool!
