We have reached the five hundred signature threshold required to demand a formal review from the local council. I am finalizing the letter of objection for submission to the planning department tomorrow morning.

The scale of this response has forced the council to acknowledge the petition as a formal document. We are currently preparing a dossier for our meeting with local planning officials to present the case for keeping the bar open.

The best social environment in Atherstone. They do so much for the town and local community, ranging from sports teams to charities, day trips and celebrations! People there are always respected and well looked after, regardless of status, gender, race or religion.
We have held numerous family fundraising events at this welcoming venue . Danny and Sean are professional and considerate of the local community with a zero tolerance of anti social behaviour putting local residents first
In times where many of Atherstone's pubs closed their doors for good, Barcode has breathed fresh life into the town and has, with the hard work of the three co-owners, established itself as a friendly location for townsfolk of all ages.
Very well run bar the security is second to none always a friendly atmosphere. Trying to close a pub for a indecent that never happened on the premises is outrageous. Police/council i ask you why try and close the safest pub in the town/surrounding area?
I have worked at Barcode since the bar first opened in between my travels & never have I ever had to deal with any trouble or has it been a bad atmosphere. Barcode is a good bar & ran by good responsible lads. I will happily stand & defend this bar from having the licence removed.
Friendly & safe enviroment for people of all ages to enjoy, looks like a case of the fun police!
I have know Glen, since before he opened Bar Code, Atherstone needs a night spot and I can not think of anyone better qualified to own and run one, he has the respect of the community and as such runs a very safe and enjoyable venue. You would be stupid to close him down. As the youth of atherstone will move on to a new venue that will not be run as well or as safely, back glen and recognise him for all the good he does. Regards Richard Former landlord the bull inn

Shutting down a business that has raised over £20,000 for a few different charities, ridiculous. You won't get a better night in atherstone and you'llalso kill off a lot of the town spirit, it just seems like the authorities hate seeing people do well.
