I have know Glen, since before he opened Bar Code, Atherstone needs a night spot and I can not think of anyone better qualified to own and run one, he has the respect of the community and as such runs a very safe and enjoyable venue. You would be stupid to close him down. As the youth of atherstone will move on to a new venue that will not be run as well or as safely, back glen and recognise him for all the good he does. This is a lovely, lively place to have in a town such as ours. It is professionally run, the and staff have always been fair and friendly. They support the local community and in comparison to other drinking establishments in the town Barcode offers a place to get your disco heels on in a safe well managed environment. Regardless of what the political drive of the council is, I am rather cross that NWBC short sighted vision of our town is targeting rather then supporting the businesses that have chosen to establish themselves here.
The heartbeat of Atherstone is its eccentric and eclectic community.
So I petition not only to prevent the closing of barcode , but for the council to step up, cooperate and support this business that was started for so many positive reasons by two young men with Atherstone in their hearts.
