Mr. Al Boniti has been a Teacher/Principal at St. Joseph the Worker grade school for 43 years. During this time, he has touched the lives of thousands of students and families. He has shown us leadership, compassion, charity, strength, love and has instilled the importance of education as a means of making all dreams possible; but most importantly he has exemplified a Christian/Catholic morality and lifestyle. These honorable qualities led him to being a recipient of the Bishop's Cross. This Petition is an expression of the Saint Joseph the Worker community's incredible dissatisfaction with the news that Mr. Boniti's contract is not being renewed for the upcoming 2017 -18 school year. We do not understand how a man that has been devoted to serving this school for so many years can be disrespected as such. Since this is an emotionally charged decision involving a revered school icon, we feel that the community should have a voice. We also feel that Mr. Boniti should be afforded the dignity of retiring when he is ready.

I was just looking at the screen and realized how fast the names are rolling in now which is honestly blowing my mind because it just shows how much everyone really cares about Mr. Boniti. If we can just get this moving a little bit faster to hit that next big marker it would really change the tone of the conversation when we show up with all these signatures in hand. My coffee is already cold but I do not even care because seeing this support is way more important than a drink.

Mr. and Mrs. Boniti have impacted the lives of multiple generations, just within my own family alone! I will continue to support and pray that they will receive the proper treatment and recognition for their lifelong devotion to our Catholic community.
Who didn't love Mr. Boniti! He was one of my favorite teachets of all times! At 53 years old, I will never forget the impact he had on me and his devotion to his students is unparalleled! Renew this mans contract! Show him how much he matters!
I have been a parent and teacher at SJS. Without the loving leadership of Mr. Bo Catholic education in Weirton would have never succeeded in educating our children with a fully rounded academically challenging Catholic education.
There are no words for what is being done to AL. He's the epitome of a Christian. His reputation is flawless, his heart - enormous, he's generous and kind, he's fair....unless you plan on resurrecting Mother Teresa, you wouldn't find a better person than Al. Shame on you!
Mr Boniti was so kind and welcoming to my son when he transferred from St Paul's in 8th grade... he was also understanding and compassionate when he got a concussion while playing football... it will be a great loss for him to leave St Joe's.
I attended St. Joseph and my children have attended St. Joseph. Mr. Boniti has been more than a Principal, Teacher and Coach to me and my family. He has been a great friend and mentor. I attribute my success in life to him. He lead by example. He provided great advice to me as a student and as a adult.
My family abaolutely loves Mr. Boniti. He has done SO much for us. Because of him, my kids have thrived in school. He is always so caring and does an excellent job at leadership. This is heartbreaking to hear that he will not be returning. HE is the best and we came to St. Joe's because we were so impressed with his compassion. This is a mistake and one that will be regretted once everything starts to fall apart from his absence. Why in the world would you take away a job from someone who clearly knows how to keep a school as a family?! :( I am scared to think what this could mean for the future of St. Joe's.

Although Mr. Bo was the principal, my son, years later, told me Mr. Bo was his favorite teacher. By giving attention to each student, setting high expectations for behavior, and modeling Christianity, Mr. Bo taught my children many things during their K-8 years.
