UPDATE as of May 7, 2015:

Your voices were heard! Sr. Maggi's position with SCB school has been reinstated! Thank you for your comments, prayers, and support. Let us place our focus now on supporting our new school Principal, the dedicated faculty and staff, and most importantly, our children! We have a wonderful school under bright new leadership and we have the opportunity to do great things for our parish community and school! We are all important in making our school the best possible faith-filled learning environment for our children.

Sr. Maggi Judge has been told that her position with St. Charles Borromeo School has been eliminated after 30+ years of dedicated service to students. Sr. Maggi wants to stay, and she has many supporters that want to make this happen. This petition is intended to show our current parish Pastor and current school Principal that the people of the school and parish support Sr. Maggi and request that she continue to be employed by St. Charles Borromeo School. There is no one that can fill her shoes and the many roles she plays with our school.

Sr. Maggi is a vital member of the staff at St. Charles Borromeo. In addition to her Assistant Principal duties, Sr. Maggi is responsible for the following:

Math Competition, Math Club & tutoring, school tours, Student Council, NJHS, Sacrament preparation, class schedules, server schedules for Mass, Ladies Sodality liaison, Graduation & Confirmation planning, oversight of 8th grade service hours, coordination of Red Cross blood drives, high school application process with Archdiocese, coordination of volunteers for school activities, May Crowning/Living Rosary ceremony, Mini Vinnie volunteer, school nurse functions, student discipline, and much more...

With a new Principal at SCB next year and the loss of Sr. Maggi, we have a transition issue. She has devoted her life to the Catholic church and St. Charles Borromeo. Let's come together in support of Sr. Maggi and the future of our school by signing this petition and spreading the word!

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up for Sr. Maggi. I never imagined we would be nearing the hundred mark so quickly. This momentum belongs entirely to you and your commitment to her.

Sr. Maggi is a positive and dedicated SCB role model and woman of our Catholic Faith. Her dedication to our children has been exemplary. It's very rare to find someone in the education system today to take such a personal interest in our kids and us as parents.

Sister Maggi was such a huge influence in my life. She taught me lessons about faith, friendship, and academics that are still important. I think forcing such a positive and needed influence out of a position where she has such an impact is disgusting and sad.

Sr. Maggi has been a great benefactor in encouraging the students to work their hardest and live up to their potentials. With the new principal, this is the time that we need Sr. Maggi the most. We need someone who knows the school inside and out.

I graduated from Borromeo in 2000, to this day Sr. Maggie is the BEST teacher I've ever had and any student who has the privilege of being in her class is beyond lucky. She made an impact on my life and I will always remember her as one of the best!

i am so sad to see Sr. Maggi go. She has so much love to share with all of the students at SCB. She's helping out Aidan to be more confident in math and that's priceless. We love you Sr. Maggi and are so thankful for you !!!! We need you at SCB!!!

Sister Maggi is a cornerstone for our Borromeo school. She is a dedicated staff member who has touched the lives of many and has devoted her life to this school. Losing her would be a detriment to our school, the staff, and the families.

I had Sr. Maggi as a teacher for three years and she was honestly the worst teacher I've ever had. She did not teach. She was rude and disrespectful to students. If I tried to ask a question I would always be answered with a "Ask another student." or "Go look it up." Her job was to teach her class math, and she failed miserably. My other math teachers from borromeo were great, but Sr. Maggi ruined math for me and is the reason I'm so far behind in math today. I am a senior in high school this year and still am affected by Sr. Maggi's terrible teaching. Obviously, none of these people that are commenting saying she is an essential part of Borromeo has had her as a teacher. A teacher is supposed to be kind, and helpful to students, but Sr. Maggi was the complete opposite. She does not deserve the position she has and the school would be greatly improved if she was let go.
