It was recently brought to my attention that a fellow alum and now former employee of St. John Bosco High School had his job terminated. Not only does this come as a shock to me, but it also further reaffirms my concerns in the direction that the school administration has decided to take the establishment that we all formally called home. Normally I would agree that things of this matter should be left alone and probably have a justifiable reason for occurring. However, at this time, and in this case, I am not only left in a state of confusion, but I am also left in a state of frustration. Robert Burke, at least to the eyes of me as an alumni, was making huge strides for the school and finally beginning to formulate an encouraging script of events and gatherings that we alums could return to and be proud of. As a member of a family that has been paying tuition at this institution for what is quickly approaching a decade, I feel that something needs to be said. Robert Burke was bringing us back, Robert Burke was organizing successful events we were proud to attend, Robert Burke worked with the heart of a Salesian, and Robert Burke never stopped remembering the fond memories that St John Bosco High School allowed him to formulate and how grateful he was. This petition is being formulated in the hopes that the administration will realize the mistake they have made and Reinstate Robert Burke into his position of Special Events Coordinator. If you agree with me I encourage you to sign and pass the word on to other alums as well.

I am currently drafting a formal letter to the school board detailing the specifics of our concerns regarding the termination of Robert Burke. My next step involves coordinating with a small group of alumni stakeholders to present these points directly to the administration. We are waiting for a confirmed time to meet with the school leadership.

The energy on campus was actually good again because of him. Why would you let someone like that go? Makes no sense to me.
Fix this now.
St John Bosco really losing their way lately. Robert did more for the community than the whole admin staff combined.
Rob was the best thing to happen to the alumni office in years. This makes zero sense.
He helped me so much with the reunion planning and always had time for the younger guys. This is a joke.
