Let's show our support for Jerry Green, Principal of Black Mountain Primary School!

I am very disappointed to learn that Principal Green is "retiring" after the school year. My wife and I are concerned parents of 4 children. My 3 boys are currently at the Primary School, and my daughter is set to start kindergarten in the fall.  While I have  lived in Black Mountain for only three years, I quickly learned that Principal Green is a man of character and integrity, which is lost in most school systems. He holds everyone to a higher standard and it is easy to learn he is one to be respected. Where else in this country would you see a principal that knows every child by name and still to this day walks out to highway 70 to stop traffic as the buses pull away. If a procedure or policy was violated, I would suggest we take a look around the country at other school systems and see what they are dealing with - teachers getting paid not to work seems a greater tragedy. If it is budget related, please let me know where I can send in my donation. To the school board members or parents that are leading this movement - please think again. His work ethic cannot be replaced and what he offers is not something you learn in Elementary Education classes. I speak from experience on that point.  

Thanks for reading. Please sign this petition if you support Mr. Green and would like him to continue as Principal of Black Mountain Primary School...even if it's for another 2-3 years. Given his accolades, wouldn't it be more appropriate for him to leave on his own terms?
