Driving to work in snow storms is more like an adventure. I've seen 3 vehicles in the ditich in the last 2 days.......and that's just between the Goldcorp Balmer Complex and Red Lake. At work we promote safety above all else and get in our vehicles and drive home on a skating rink.

If their blade actually touched the ground it would do a better job. I watch them "high blade" very time I'm behind a plow truck. they do that because it saves them money on plow blades. mto didn't do that.

I have lived in Red Lake for 27 years and I can say without any reservations that the level of winter road maintenance on highway 105 has definitely declined in the past two years.

The communities of Red Lake and Ear Falls have no choice to use Highway 105, it is the only artery in and out of them. Most residents have to travel to Dryden for simple things that people in larger communities take for granted (shopping, health care specialists, veterinary services, etc). These roads must be kept safe.

My question is, why when the roads are plowed that there is no salt or sand being applied at the same time? The roads are beyond ridiculous and something needs to be done. It's my pleasure to sign this petition!

We live in an area where the only way out (barring airplanes) is HWY 105...THAT ALONE should make this road a Class 1 HWY and I believe that as taxpayers we should be afforded the same attention to safe travel as the people in Southern Ontario receive. Thanks for the opportunity to express my opinion.

Maybe the powers that be should all come to Northwestern Ontario and drive on the highways here and see how they like putting their lives at risk!

Driving to conditions and winter tires are not helping! A sprinkle of sand for 10 feet in the middle of the road around a corner is also NOT working! Im getting pretty sick and tired of putting my life at risk every single day just because something so simple as throwing sand or salt on the roads, is not being done!
