We wish to draw your attention towards the poor maintenance of roads in our locality which have not been reconstructed for decades. There are pits and ditches on the roads everywhere. Surrounding streets have been reconstructed, while Darling, Mattison, Waddell Streets and a portion of Schuman Place have been excluded. Most recently Forest and East Carl Avenues were repaved and again we were excluded. The condition of the road becomes worst during inclement weather. Over the years it has been micropaved and overlayed, it is now beyond that and needs reconstructing. Calls over the last 5 years to obtain such services have fallen on deaf ears. We are concerned, tax paying residents that take pride in our neighborhood, and are deserving of all county maintenance services. Therefore the undersigned are requesting to be put on the 2020 calendar for street paving services of this 3-block radius of our North Baldwin community.

I spent the entire morning staring at the massive pothole on the corner of Mattison and wondered if anyone at the county office has actually tried driving over it without wrecking their suspension. It is honestly baffling how they keep repaving streets just a block over while we are left with this crumbling mess despite all the calls I have made. I am still keeping track of every single response or lack thereof so please keep checking the comments because there is so much frustration out here.

Seeing this much momentum really makes me feel like those phone calls we made for five years are finally going to get an answer because someone has to acknowledge these potholes now right. I was honestly just hoping a few of us neighbors would click through but the way this is moving makes me think we might actually get someone from the county to drive down Darling Street and see the mess for themselves instead of just ignoring our emails.

I have lived in Baldwin for 19 years and, while I have seen surrounding streets repaired, it has not been the case for areas like Schuman, Waddell and Mattison streets. It’s time that these streets be given consideration.
I've been looking to do this a long time ago. We desperately need our streets to be paved . We pay enough taxes. This is damaging our vehicles. It will help with the up keep of the neighborhood. Please pave.
As a concerned resident, I agree that our roads are in tremendous disrepair. It's imperative that our tax dollars are put to work to keep our community safe and maintained. This petition is our voice.

I can’t stress enough how annoying it is to drive home every day over the most bumpy roads I’ve ever driven across. My car has damage because of the roads in our area; I have to continue risking more damage on a daily basis? Enough is enough. Let’s all come together and have our voices heard. I know I’m not the only one fed up with our roads... thank you to my dear neighbor for organizing this petition.
