To the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions and SEIU Local 105,
We, the undersigned members, coworkers and community supporters of SEIU Local 105, respectfully demand the immediate reinstatement of Darion Ross as our Union Partnership Representative.
Darion has consistently stood on the front lines for all of us-fighting for better working conditions, stronger protections and a more empowered membership. He has been a dedicated supporter and defender of the partnership between the Union and Kaiser, working tirelessly to strengthen collaboration and to build bridges between labor and management in the best interest of our members.
His recent removal, based on a private Facebook post where he stated that" we need to fight more and stand up for what we believe we deserve" is deeply concerning. Those words are not grounds for discipline- they are a call to action rooted in union values and the fight for equality and justice.
Darion was using his freedom of speech to inspire, not to divide. Silencing that message sends the wrong signal to our members who rely on strong, principled leadership. Removing a leader like Darion for voicing support for his for his union brothers and sisters threatens the integrity of our representation and the trust we've built within our community.

The only reason I know anything about the union is because of this man!!! The only reason I am a co lead is because of him. He is an amazing guy and works hard for the union and the people of the union. He has NEVER created division the high ups have done that all on their own and want someone to blame. This man needs to be reinstated.
Thank you for doing this, Janet! Darion should have never been removed from his position. He has done so much for this local and for our members and wasn’t even given a chance to defend or explain himself. We’re told management isn’t allowed to come into a JOD with their minds made up already, but that’s EXACTLY what was done to him, BY THE LOCAL!!! It is completely unfair and goes against everything we fight for everyday!
Darion Ross has been an asset to the seiu local 105 union. His efforts in moving the UBT's in the direction there intended to operate contribute in assisting Kaiser to improve as a company. Darion's leadership and charisma is clearly evident based on the large amount of signatures on this petition.
Darion should have never been removed from any position for being transparent in his thoughts or expressing an opinion. If anything, he should have been heard in elaboration and considered. Him being removed shows offense was taken and another party is incapable of self evaluation or reflection.
darion was the only one that would help me when I needed and got me answers all the time. he is one of the best union stewards i’ve ever came in contact with. taking his voice is a stab in the back to everyone, and is saying our voices don’t matter. REINSTATE HIM!!!!

Darion is a great representation of the Union. To be punished for freedom of speech in a group that is supposed to be a safe environment to vent on things happening with in the union or associated with the union in anyway, Absolutely nauseating ! To strip him of something he wears so honorably is absolutely heartbreaking. So yes , I sign this petition and speak out on the matter regarding Darion. He is deserving of his title within the union.
