Petition for the Removal of the Current Fire Union President

We, the undersigned members of Local 29, respectfully submit this petition pursuant to the rights and procedures provided under our Constitution and Bylaws.

The President of Local 29 has a duty to faithfully represent the membership, uphold the results of valid elections, and honor motions that are properly brought before the body. Instead, recent actions have disregarded the expressed will of the members and undermined our democratic process. Such conduct is inconsistent with the standards of accountability, transparency, and representative leadership required by our governing documents.

Article 8, Section 10 of our Bylaws clearly establishes that union officers serve at the will of the membership and may be subject to recall through a two-meeting process followed by a referendum within thirty (30) days. The membership has both the right and the responsibility to act when leadership fails to represent them.

Therefore, we, the undersigned, formally call for the removal of the current President in accordance with the procedures outlined in Article 8, Section 10 of our Bylaws. This action is necessary to restore the integrity of our union, protect the democratic process, and ensure that Local 29 leadership remains accountable to the members it serves.
