Lee Square is a Civil War memorial park in downtown Pensacola. It is located between the north- and south-bound lanes of Palafox Street, between Jackson and Gadsden Streets.

As the current trend attempting to erase history continues, please stand with us to defend our history.

Horrific acts of violence perpetrated by sick individuals should not warrant the removal of our history.

We urge Mayor Ashton Hayward of Pensacola to keep the monument.

Mayor Hayward is watching these numbers and we need to hit two hundred fifty signatures before he dares to touch our monument. Stop letting these historical vandals dictate the future of our city by getting everyone you know to sign right now.

Leave our monuments to our beloved family members alone. Many were not able to come home so this is how our families remember and honor them. Please know that northern soilders and familes honored our fallen soilders by contributing to some mouments for them because they respected them for what they went through.

Please keep this small part of our history. You've removed the Confederate flag. This isn't about hate, it's about history. Be strong leaders and do not give in to Mob Rule !

Lifelong resident of Pensacola. My parents graduated from PHS, across the street from Lee Square, and I think it is one of the most important remaining pieces if Pensacola History. Please fight to keep it!

Terrible thing to consider tearing down or moving a veteran's monument. Confederate soldiers are, by LAW, U. S. Veterans. Pensacola, you will no longer be able to say you support the vets if these monuments go.

When I drive by this I don't feel pride or celebrate the man, but I see a part of history in our young counties life, we may look back and not agree with what their beliefs were but shaped it to what it is. I'm curious is to why this is just now being attacked ? Opportunism for the mayor to get in on main stream media narratives ?

This memorial commemorates history. These men fought for something they believed was their's. They did it for their states, something they were loyal to like our soldiers are loyal to our country. For that reason, this memorial should stay.
