Our 1902 Confederate Monument in Hanover Square Park in Brunswick, GA is under attack by Black Lives Matter and Antifa cancel culture activists threatening the only Confederate Monument in Glynn county. The monument has stood in Hanover Park since 1902 and is made of Italian marble and historically depicts an unknown Confederate soldier. The monument is an honorific memorial to Veterans who fought and died for States Rights, their farms, their families and the people in their communities.

History is history. Learn from it. If we try to erase all evidence of it, how dies that help the future? Monuments, museums, and more, remind us how far we have come, so we don't go there again!

This historical monument is history, and not hateful. It honors the veterans who fought. I am a person of color and love all historical monuments. My voice matters.

Please leave our monument alone. It is, for better or worse, a part of our history and who we are. Please don’t let the current political atmosphere influence the treatment of our heritage. Thank you!

I wouldn't think of destroying Martin Luther King's monument. It is a part of history just as the Confederate monument. Please honor all monuments that remind us of our history.

Build new monuments to memorialize Black citizens's contributions to Glynn County history. This Monument has great historical significance to remember the South's struggle against Northern confiscatory taxes and oppressive tariffs, the right to independence, sovereignty, free markets and family values.

We have a right to our history, just like everybody else.

Adhere to STate of GA Law. This is a remembrance to Civil War Veterans and is protected by State and Federal Statutes.
