Holy ground community church, church street stranraer erected a cross and in the evening the cross lights up. There has been some mixed reaction to this symbol and we are wanting to get as many signatures so we can continue to keep it lit as it reaches out to so many people.
The steady growth of this petition confirms that many people find comfort and inspiration in the illuminated cross. Your collective enthusiasm provides a significant boost to our efforts to ensure this meaningful display remains a constant presence for our community.

It's a cross on a church? Isn't that where the cross belongs? I think it's quite nice, what harm is it causing, let them have their cross.

The cross, a symbol of hope, peace, love and salvation. I love it and pray it will cause some lost souls to seek the Lord.

I think it’s a beautiful idea to keep this crucifix lit up all year. It symbolises love and peace.
