I think it’s a beautiful idea to keep this crucifix lit up all year. It symbolises love and peace.

It's a cross on a church? Isn't that where the cross belongs? I think it's quite nice, what harm is it causing, let them have their cross.

This cross that has been "erected" by as far as I know no permission from the council, local business owners and the general public, it is not a particularly attractive or useful addition and having been bolted to the roof of the property without any safety testing and or risk assessment, it seems like it could cause a huge amount of damage to cars or god forbid pedestrians underneath, further more it has already failed with part of the illumination being dead already on one side of the crucifix, it is not a religious intolerance thing, I'm not sure where people are getting this notion of mosques because Stranraer certainly doesn't have a dedicated one, nor a particularly outspoken or militant Muslim population, as a Christian I find it deeply offensive that they have put up a bright red neon cross that looks like something one would see in the red light district, it is an eyesore, I highly doubt its safety and it is ridiculous that the town be subject these outlandish displays by a small church with very little involvement with the wider community.
