As one of a number of community organisations that use the King William III Memorial Orange Hall we hereby request that in the interests of our members and of the wider population of Carrickfergus that a Pelican Crossing be installed at the junction of Albert Road and Lancasterian Street, Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland. With the increase of vehicular traffic into the town of Carrickfergus exacerbated by the placement of a roundabout at the junction of the Albert Road and Marine Highway (replacing a traffic light controlled junction) we the undersigned testify that due to the constant flow of traffic at peak periods that a Pelican Crossing is now required at the Albert Road-Lancasterian Street junction in order to prevent death or serious injury to pedestrians crossing the road at this junction.
