Seeing the count climb toward that first hundred is wild and it honestly makes me think about those old nights when the ridge was actually glowing. If we can just push over that mark now it really changes how the town board hears us so tell your neighbor to get their name on this list before I lose my mind from all this excitement.

It's about Respect, Leadville/Climax lit the cross and the blue star as a sign of respect for Miners who lost their lives while working at Climax and for Miners who used to work at Climax. Please Honor those workers by Relighting the Cross.

Turn back on our beacon letting travelers know they're almost home! Maybe nothing to some of you, but as you can tell, it's a big deal & means a lot to a huge population of us born & raised in the high mountains only few dare to call home!

This has been a tradition in our community for decades. This is CHRISTMAS season not merely a holiday season by the residents of the Leadville area! Please reconsider as I reconsider my stance on FCX stock!

I worked at Climax for 15 years form 1970 to 1985 when they shut down and I hoisted a lot of materials through that very door a Christmas without. The cross would be a broken tradition. What. A shame so few can ruin it for So Many

Please re-light the climax cross! Born and raised in Leadville, it would be a shame to no longer see that cross! I know it's reminded me numerous times in white outs, that someone is watching over me!

The cross not being lit breaks a lot of hearts. It's not about religion it's about the hopes of old and new minors. If two people complaining about a cross has such an impact then why can't one community pull together to re-light the cross.
