The St. Thomas More Catholic School Administration has terminated Pat. Killian's employment at STM by not renewing her contract for the 2015-2016 School Year as a middle school teacher of Social Studies. We as the major shareholders and customers (parents, students, alumni and parishioners) of the school/church of the St. Thomas More Community call for Pat Killian's contract to be renewed for the 2015 -2016 school year. As the major shareholders, we feel that Pat Killian is an excellent teacher. She has always taught the required curriculum and cared for her students, parents, and the entire school community. She has worked hard for many years at STM School and has left a meaningful, lasting impression on the hearts and minds of countless STM graduates. We are aware it is the role of school administration to make staffing decisions, but feel they are acting in a systematic way to reduce tenured staff and are overlooking the collaborative trust and input of stakeholders. By signing this petition, you call for Father Scott McCue, Dr. Michael Ashton and Kathy Sullivan, to extend a contract to Pat Killian for the 2015-2016 year.
