Fort Worth Parents Demand the Removal of Norma Garcia Lopez from the FWISD Racial Equity Committee and Redistricting Committee

With several parents being doxxed by the Co-Chair of the FWISD Racial Equity Committee (Norma Garcia Lopez) and being harassed with intimidating voicemails, we believe that the Co-Chair should be removed from the Racial Equity Committee and from the Redistricting Committee as well.
FWISD is a place where adult behavior can affect student and staff behavior. Bullying or any other unacceptable behavior should not be enabled or tolerated. Any member that serves on committees should be held accountable if they misbehave. And so, we ask the ISD to hold accountable Norma Garcia Lopez for the despicable actions that she has committed.

I have compiled the reports regarding this conduct and submitted them directly to the school board office. We are currently waiting for a formal response to the request for her immediate removal from both committees.

The language Norma Lopez used in a voicemail to a parent is totally unacceptable. The bullying attitude and race baiting should NEVER be tolerated from a person in your position. Let`s put the children first!!
Lopez-Garcia has got to go. She is pushing a racist ideology on children which has no place in the classroom and it’s all under the guise of being “anti-racist”. Her character was revealed in the way she cussed out a parent who differed with her and then asked for this parent to be doxxed. That is ridiculous.
What she has done- calling a parent and leaving a string of expletives on her voicemail and bullying multiple parents online would probably get a high school student suspended. How is a leader in the district allowed to treat people this way and continue to hold her position?!!
Norma-Garcia-Lopez has also shown deplorable behavior during FWISD Board meetings. She has hissed vile, vulgar statements to me personally during said meetings. She has no place in any sort of leadership position associated with children.
Over reaching her authority is very problematic. Attacking parents is uncalled for and releasing personal info is NOT justifiable. Accountability for actions require reprimand!
Please please resign, as you have proven you can not have a civil dialogue with concerned parents without threatening them and you cannot contain your violent emotions!

I’m a Fort Worth resident and I find this behavior disgusting. Fort Worth ISD code of conduct should have set things into motion to remove this person.
