The parish finally agreed to build the levee and stop the funneling of water into our neighborhood. It has been a long and draining fight but our safety is now the priority. I will keep watching them to ensure they actually break ground.

The silence from the Parish government remains heavy but it only proves how much they are ignoring the funnel effect we are dealing with. I have been spending my energy meeting with neighborhood representatives to keep the pressure on because waiting for a tropical event to force their hand is not an option.

Fix this drain problem. We have paid our taxes and we deserve to be protected just like everyone else.
My garage flooded twice last year. Enough is enough. Do something about this funnel before the next storm hits.
scared to death for hurricane season. stop putting our lives at risk for people on the other side. PROTECT EAST HOUMA!!!
We are tired of being ignored. Fix it now before we lose our homes to oil and water.
My kids have to breathe that nasty water if it gets in our house. protect woodlawn ranch road already.
