It took 21" to flood the house down the road. This time it took 7-8. Something has changes since the last big rain several years ago. A lot of roads go under really quick with half the rain that it used to take.

I moved to Murray Lane, Oak Grove in 1976 and have had flooding issues since that time. I now cannot drive a vehicle high off the ground and the flooding waters have caused costly damages to my vehicle. The police jury has attempted in the past to correct the problem to no avail. The water causes deep holes, the road does not have gravel in certain areas and I have had incidences of sliding off the muddy road into another person's pasture and yard.

Every time it rains hard, my road floods. Had to repair my truck twice. Flood water molded my husband's carpet in his truck. Need a culvert put in where the low spot is on my road would help. And the low spot built up with dirt.

This parish’s roads have continually worsened over the last several years. It is time to fix this problem. Big Colewa needs to be dredged for sure. That would be a good starting point.
