This petition is against the proposed construction of northbound and southbound continuous frontage roads between Cooks Lake Road and Tram Road on US 69. By signing this petition you show you are against closing a boat ramp that is vital to our community and constructing the road opens the possiblity of flooding issues. The frontage road is not needed, puts many at risk, and eliminates a highly used boat ramp. For the benefit of our community and our neighbors we ask that this proposal be dismissed as a whole and the funds be allocated to something else more useful in our community.

I have been spending hours at the ramp watching people unload their boats and thinking about how much we stand to lose if these road plans move forward. My neighbors keep stopping me to share their own fears about potential flooding and it is clear that we are not the only ones worried about the future of this bayou.

I grew up fishing off that ramp and seeing the numbers rise makes me believe we can actually stop this project. Please send this link to a few neighbors right now so we can hit our goal and force them to listen to us.

I am strongly against the closure of this boat ramp. As a born and raised native of Voth, I utilize this area multiple Times a week Literally!! The suggested alternative boat ramps are not acceptable replacement solutions.
I understand the need for more lanes. Especially in an evacuation situation. What I don't understand why a boat ramp can't be engineered into the project. The additional cost of the ramp would be a drop in the bucket when compared to the money that is going to be spent.
I have used the boat ramp at Pine Island Bayou since 1967. I was raised in Artesian Acres and this ramp gives access to a beautiful part of Southeast Texas most people never get to witness otherwise. Please leave (and improve) our boat ramp. Thank You.
Will increase risk to persons crossing the feeder roads from side roads due to increased traffic flow of usually higher than the designated speeds. Additionally, closes a highly used boat ramp that will impact recreational users.
I am against closing this boat ramp. It is not possible to access pine island bayou from village creek in anything more than a canoe.
I use this boat ramp often and would have to drive all the way into Beaumont and waste a lot of unneeded gas to launch.
I love launching my boat from here it is so safe for me and my girlfriend

If you change it we will all flood I live on cookslake the very first road off and every time we get a good rain the water comes up past the turn around and up the hill . If you do this my home will get water in it and that will be devastating
