WE, the concerned citizens of Lakeview, Long Island, New York are asking for your support by signing this petition, to demand answers and action about the extreme neglect of Woodfield Road (a/k/a Derrick Adkins Road) a County Road, as well as to make sure all civil engineering and repairs are done correctly and immediately. This major Nassau County thoroughfare, was supposed to be repaired, as per the Department of Public Works Commissioner Shila Shah-Gavnoudias August 2010. To date there has been no response from her office. Residents of the Unincorporated Hamlet of Lakeview, are beyond vivid from the silence, neglect and empty promises made since Spring 2010, in which the Ed Mangano administration promised construction would start the summer of 2010. This roadway is extremely dangerous and a public safety concern. This is not just a problem for our community, but for all of our communities.

The sheer number of people joining this fight proves that Mangano and his administration can no longer ignore the dangerous wreckage they left on Woodfield Road. We have built enough momentum to force these cowards out of their offices and into the streets to finally do the work they promised years ago.

My car suspension is shot from these craters. How long are we supposed to wait? Fix it already.

Ridiculous. Driving down woodfield rd is like driving on the moon. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this mess.
