They recently paved Waverly Avenue and now it has become a drag strip. In September and October alone there have been 4 parked cars hit, one of those cars rolled twice and ended up on my front lawn. I have three children that walk to the school bus every morning as trucks and buses fly past doing 50 miles per hour. I am petitioning for a three way stop in two locations. The first location should be on the corner of Waverly and Pine Tree and the second should be on Waverly and Second Street. This will not only slow people down but help the community behind Waverly, off Woodbury Road, to safely pull out onto Waverly Avenue. I will not fear my children walking on the sidewalk or playing in the front yard any longer. I will fight this until it is done and appreciate any support you may be able to give.

Seeing this grow makes the late nights and the constant worry feel a little less heavy. I am exhausted by the state of our street but knowing so many of you see the danger gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward.

Between the school, increased commuter traffic and the new 292 new residences at the Arboretum, WE NEED THIS!!!
There is a bus stop on the corner of Waverly and 2nd st. There should be a stop sign there! Great idea!!!!
Too many cars and motorcycles are driving down the road at high speed, putting in danger pedestrians and specially small children trying to ride their bikes. But is a hazard to everyone on Waverly Ave. Between expressway north and portion rd. In farmingville.
I agree, I live off of Waverly and people to drive over the speed limit on this road.
Living next to waverly school it’s nearly impossible to pull out of my driveway due to park cars and flying cars!

As a local amazon driver I can attest to this being a necessity for this road. Too many children around & careless/lawless drivers speeding throughout that area.
