The Co-op has officially reinstated Adrian and he is heading back to the store. Thank you for pushing this forward and ensuring his sixteen years of service were honored. Stay sharp and keep an eye on the store to make sure he is treated with the respect he earned.
Adrian Weekes has been suspended by the Co-op for tackling a shoplifter at the Co-op Store in Slad Road, Stroud. We feel its wrong to suspend Adrian who has done a splendid job at this store for 16 years. At times grumpy - but always helpful. We want him back in the store.

Give the man break. He was only doing his job, too well apparently!. I've known Adrian for years and worked closely with him in a previous company. He may be big but certainly no thug, a gentle giant.

Adrian does a good deed for his employers with 16yrs working for them under his belt & this is how they treat him. If the lad hadn't been trying to steal let alone for the third time in the evening, Adrian wouldn't of been sat on him!!! Let Adrian back to work

that guy has worked there for years. Always ID'd me and I've seen him refuse people without ID. The person who should be getting the backlash is the thief. Can't imagine the CO OP would have been very happy if Adrian had just let the guy walk out with stolen items.

So wrong for Adrian to be punished and shamed in this way...poor guy. That's what you get for loyalty and for being a good citizen these days. If he goes I will no longer use the Slad rd shop!!

It's a disgrace that someone should be punished for acting against crime. No doubt the thief will get little more than a warning, are you really going to make your loyal employee the loser in this situation?

Get some common sense he was protecting your shrinkage, I work in retail and this was an heroic act to protect the company profits. How dare they suspend him! Lose the red tape and thank him for a job well done
