Aldershot FC's Local Police Sergeant Sgt Jason Holford has been "removed from public facing duties" on the basis of an 11 second audio clip when he was performing his crowd control duties at the play off eliminator against Ebbsfleet United on Wednesday 2nd May
We, the real Aldershot fans, support Jason and know him to be an excellent officer and in no way racist as is implied by this removal from duties. He has been brilliant in all sorts of situations home and away and we implore Hampshire Constabulary to re-instate him to full duties.
He has always been an approachable individual and has an amazing rapport with us, the fans. This incident is clearly a set up by somebody with an agenda against the police in general given the brief excerpt which has been posted on the internet,

Been following Aldershot Town home and away since 1992 ... Had Jason police us home and away for as long as I can remember and before that he had Ian Parish with him. Jason is a good man .... Good police officer the fact this clip is only 11 seconds long says a lot where the rest of the video ?
Not a racist bone in his body. Known him for 10 years and a better person you couldn't wish to know. Seen him at matches and he's totally even handed with everyone and diffuses situations better than any other person I've seen.
I don’t know Jason personally but Hampshire constabulary should be lucky that they have him as an officer. AFC Fylde away this season he was superb in how he handled a situation with one supporter. Took him away from crowd and had a quiet word in the supporters ear. Brilliant I thought, unless he doesn’t like paperwork !!!!
Jason is one of the most engaging, fair, and reasonable officers I have come across. For football fans to stand together with him as a police officer speaks volumes about his nature and his character.
A great cop. To his employer: don't lose him over a set up, or being quoted out of context or by not seeing the bigger picture. It will be the local community's loss if he goes /isn't reinstated.
Clearly not the worst thing an Aldershot copper has done there's others at Aldershot police station that are known to be abusive and violent towards people .They should be called the Tesco police team or the Morrison security squad being as they spend most of their time in there shopping . You've got coppers like this that are clearly good coppers then you've got coppers like Dan eaves Dominic godbold and a few others that shouldn't be allowed to police the streets and are an embarrassment to Hampshire police...

I am the club photographer for Aldershot Town and have known jason for many a season. The time and effort that he has put into his relationship with the fans is nothing short of a miracle. He shows a level of professionalism way above his duty. I urge you not to make a knee jerk judgment but the consider the bigger picture of his work ethics.
