The city finally put up the stop sign at the corner this morning. I honestly never thought they would listen to us but 168 of you made it impossible for them to ignore the safety of our neighborhood. This belongs to all of you who cared enough to sign.

Clifton Park is where most of the children of Sea Cliff go to play. To not have a stop sign so that children can cross safely to their park on the corner of Sea Cliff Ave and Locust Ave is ridiculous. The idea that the stop sign will now slow people down is even dumber. A child was hit on her bike on this cornber this weekend and if the adults of this village aren't going to do anything I think it's up to us kids,,,

Having witnessed myself cars speeding by it makes it difficult for our children to safely cross the street in their bikes or even walking - please put a stop sign to keep our children safe- Thank you
Sea Cliff Avenue is not a village road, it is a county road. We need to contact our Nassau County elected officials regarding this matter. Our county executive is Ed Mangano. Call 516-MANGANO. Also the Nassau County Traffic Safety Board 516-571-6808
My best friend was the one who was hit, and this stop sign is needed! We don't want this to happen again.
I live right near the park and it is a dangerous corner. It needs a stop sign. Time is an insignificant factor when it comes to keeping children safe.
I live on the corner where the accident happened and watched the story unfold. This happens all time and we inquired about a stop sign... no result. I was hit on my motorcycle a few years ago at the same spot right in front of my own house. The idiots race down SCA to see how fast they can go until the first stop sign... In cars and motorcycles (I ride too and they enrage me). What do we get... a ridiculous sign that tells you how fast you are going! The speeders just use it to calibrate their speedometers. And what about the cost to swap out the batteries (they are not solar). Just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
