Our neighborhood has hundreds of children who enjoy playing outside together on multiple streets- a healthy and needed pastime that we as neighborhood residents value. However, the uncontrolled intersection at Linwood and Stowell- the only one on Linwood between Downer and Maryland- presents a hazard to our children’s ability to safely play outdoors. We need a stop sign on Linwood and Stowell and we respectfully make this request to our Alderman, Nik Kovac.

We live at 3019 N. Prospect, and our kids cross that intersection almost daily. Additionally, about 50 children live on Stowell Ave. just near that iintersection. A stop sign on this corner would slow traffic and make it much safer for all these children.

And three kids in this family who are still learning to look both ways … this would be SO much appreciated on the corner. Drivers fly down the street!

This is critical to our neighborhood's well-being. I’d also be in favor of other traffic slowing efforts such as speed bumps.

3000 block of Stowell here. I guess I never realized this was the only intersection on this stretch w/o a stop sign.

Alderman Kovac Please consider adding a stop sign at Stowell and Linwood. We have so many children on this street and it would help greatly with their safety when crossing that intersection.
