KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE-STOP HERE! has been put together by a parent in East River Housing to have a stop sign installed on Lewis Street between Grand and Delancey Streets. This is a school crossing, where there is a legal pedestrian crosswalk, but the cars and buses speed down the street and do not yield to pedestrians. There is no protection here for our children and it is a very dangerous crossing. Please sign the petition to have a stop sign installed and make our neighborhood safer.
