The Oak Tree Country Club board has officially approved the construction of a new playground on the site. We are transitioning into the planning phase with the contractors to monitor equipment installation and safety compliance. This outcome confirms that our neighborhood requirements will be met.

Final supporters
We, the undersigned, would like a playground in the prestigious Oak Tree neighborhood. Our wonderful family-friendly neighborhood used to have a great place for children of all ages to play and swing but this was removed once Club Corp purchased Oak Tree Country Club. Now our kids are left without a neighborhood playground. Residents are having to go to other neighborhoods or school playgrounds. It is our desire to provide the residents of Oak Tree with a safe place for their children to play.

I have spent the last few days drafting a formal letter to the Club Corp management team outlining our requirements for the playground space. This document will serve as the foundation for the meeting request I am sending out to their regional representatives tomorrow.

Playgrounds are a great selling feature for families moving into the neighborhood.
I babysit for a sweet family in this neighborhood and I know that I would love to be able to have somewhere to take the kids to play. I know several precious families in Oak Tree that would all love this. Please give them a playground!
We should not have to load our children up in the car and drive around in other neighborhoods to play on a playground! Please fix this issue! A play ground is a MUST have in our neighborhood. I was excited to see the fort being torn down because I thought there was a new and improved playground coming in it’s place. What a disappointment to leave us with nothing.
What an embarrassment to our “Family Oriented” Country Club to not have a SINGLE playground. Inexcusable.
Our Grandchildren would love this!! Our yard isn’t large enough to accommodate a play yard.
The kids need this!

Oaktree needs a playground for the kids & parents (and grandparents). It is wonderful place to meet your neighbors ! Every neighborhood in Edmond has a playground. We have really missed the one we had.
