- Petition to Rebuild the Westbrooke Neighborhood Playground
To: The Westbrooke Homeowners Association (HOA) and Trustees
From: Concerned Residents of the Westbrooke Community
We, the undersigned residents of the Westbrooke subdivision, are deeply upset by the recent removal of our neighborhood playground. This playground was an essential part of our community, providing a safe and welcoming space for our children to play, socialize, and grow. It was not only a source of joy for our families but also a place where neighbors connected, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Not only do the residents that live across the street use the playground, but many families from further into the subdivision come and enjoy it too.
It is particularly disheartening that steps were not taken earlier to repair and maintain the playground while it was still salvageable. The removal of this beloved space has left a void in our neighborhood, and we strongly believe that rebuilding it should be a priority.
We understand that budget constraints may have influenced this decision. However, if rebuilding the playground is not feasible within the 2025 budget, we urge that it be factored into the 2026 budget as a priority for our community. You could also consider a one time assessment fee to help fund the playground if most of the neighborhood agrees or votes to do so. The playground was a vital asset, and its absence significantly impacts the quality of life for families in our neighborhood.
We respectfully request a formal discussion regarding the plans for the playground and seek transparency in the decision-making process moving forward. The families of Westbrooke deserve to have their voices heard and their needs considered in the development and maintenance of our community.
We appreciate your time and consideration and look forward to working together to restore this important space for our children and future generations.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned Residents of Westbrooke Subdivision
By gathering signatures from fellow residents and presenting this petition to the appropriate local authorities, we hope to make a positive change and ensure that our children have a safe and fun space to play for years to come.

We live right in front of the common ground. The tennis courts are rarely used for tennis. The pickle ball thing was a fad. Stop spending money on things that aren't worth the money. The kids use the playground almost daily. Who makes decisions without actually knowing how the property is used?!
We see families, enjoying the playground frequently. I am very disappointed because we have grandchildren that love to go and play on the equipment. With the size of the subdivision how much more would it be to fix and maintain the playground? There are many new families moving in to this subdivision, and that playground will get a lot of use in the future.
I would be willing to have a one-time assessment in order for a replacement playground to be purchased and installed.
My 3 kids use these facilities regularly. We moved here three years ago and the playground was a huge draw for our family. In addition being the “new kids” has been made easier by making friends on that playground. I’d hate to see it go.
As a mom of 5, I would be deeply saddened for our playground to be taken away from us. Especially without any communication/input from Westbrooke residents. Please reconsider this decision and think about the many, many children who utilize this playground.
Please rebuild the playground, it's so important for the families in our community!

Playground set was a big part of the sub, part of our childrens lives and now our grandchildren. It needed some repair, but saw nothing that couldnt be removed, cut out and rewelded. It was a great benefit for families with pre-schoolers, giving them a reason to get out of the house during the day for excercise and a change of scenery. It will really be missed.
