The school finally listened and pulled the plug on Membean. I am so relieved that the students who follow us will never have to waste another minute on that program. Thank you for helping me end this nightmare for good.

Membean has been plaguing our fine school for three long years. L.A. teachers say that we are not going to write five paragraph essays or letter essays after we get out of school, so they don’t make us do them. We are not going to do Membean when we graduate and go into the world by ourselves, so why are they making us do it now? The High School doesn’t even do this program, so why do we have to? We can speak the english language just fine and we don’t need a third party program to help us. This document is not for us, but for future generations to come. We can help them to not be tortured by this infernal program. Please sign this petition to stop Membean once and for all.

Seeing so many of you echo the frustration I feel every single day truly validates why I started this. The momentum behind our goal is growing fast and it proves that we are all tired of this outdated requirement.

This thing has indeed enslave our school for too long, there is no problem with old fashion books to learn from, robots are already taking over the world so why create this part of our school on membean? When this thing gives you over 400 words to learn you deserve to scream, when you have done 924 minutes, you run! We must stop this school and students from being enslaved!
Although Mrs. O'Neil made a speech about this program in language arts, I still believe that the questions aren't great, and it doesn't really teach me or anyone else that much. P.S. Why is the word shard on level 5???!!!???!!!
I definitely agree with this petition. Membean has been stressing me out and killing to many keyboards in three years for me. Pleeaaase, stop Membean for good!
I am not using my school account for this for many reasons. I hate membean. It's overwhelming, I know a lot of the words already, and what's the point of higher level vocabulary when they're are words we already know that we can use.
To be honest, though, I don't like it all that well. I know a lotta vocab, so it is a bit redundant and boring. Doesn't mean that others have a good vocabulary, too.

hi. my name is isabelle and this is my paragraph on why we should ban slavery(membean). i hope the reader will enjoy this not because it may appear humorous to them, but because they can relate. enjoy, and thank you. I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE. IT IS 2024 AND WE ARE TRAVELING BACK IN TIME. I THOUGHT WE BANNED SLAVERY. 45 MINUTES A WEEK OF LABOR AND TEARS IS ATROCIOUS. I'VE BANGED MY HEAD AGAINST MY KNEE COUNTLESS TIMES THAT LATELY I'VE BEEN HAVING HEADACHES AND FEELING STRONG FATIGUE. now, i'm not alone. the amount of times i've heard from others that membean is one of the sole reasons they want to jump out of their house. kids have tried to cheat, lie, etc., on membean, i think that says enough. i am one of those people by the way. membean, please, if you're reading this. take mercy. i just want to make it to the age of 20. i don't want to end myself or have such thoughts at this age. you make me sad and unhappy and i'd rather not have that. i hope the reader has enjoyed not my rant, but my factual essay(not 5 paragraphs but it should be considered one). thank you and have a nice day.
