I-Ready is very repetitive and can get annoying with the voices. It is over all just pointless.
I do not like I ready. It is annoying and irritating to hear the same monotone voice over and over again. The character's lips don't even move in sync. This program is not very helpful although it did preview what we were going to do later on in the school year. This program makes us a little competitive too. Some people brag about their scores on the diagnostic. Some boast about what level they are on. I also despise how there is a time limit and if you do not achieve that time limit you get a bad grade. We should take our time and not rush through these problems. We do not comprehend them and later on gradually hate the whole system.
I once did an algebra lesson and it was “teaching” me how to break down and simplify the equation. No not answer it but simplify it. Anyway it was having me click on blocks to “break it down” and it taught me nothing. The methods they use to “teach us” will never be available in real life and makes the whole job even harder
I like this petition. I have so many hard times on I-ready. Teachers are the ones who are supposed to teach, not fake people on a website. Plus, the diagnostics don't even make and sense.
i have 1+ hours of iready every week per lesson and i normally fail one of the 2
I hate this app so much. The animation is lazy and makes me want to throw up. The voice acting is horrible, especially when they say unnecessary things when I just want to do the work already. You can't even work while they're talking and it takes forever. The characters are interfering with my grades. And anyway, who draws noses like that????!!!1!? Whoever animates these things needs an art style instead of using the line tool. I bet the voice actors don't even have any experience with voice acting. My head hurts whenever I hear their voices. My younger sister does her work in my room and the voices are so annoying. And who even scripted the voice acting? Oh right.. it isn't scripted. As somebody in 6th grade, I am struggling with my schoolwork because of this sh*tty app the teachers force us to do.

I agree with the foundation of this petition. However, as much as I despise having the added workload this curriculum helped me to some point. This educational "activity" challenged people but it also made them more competitive, for example: "I finished the math lessons" "I got a 800 on the diagnostic". These can hurt our motivation and discourage a person. This is why I am agreeing to sign this petition to exile and end the ceaseless work of doing iready.
