i-Ready has been causing extra work that we have to do during our free periods, or at home, instead of giving us time to do our Real school work. It can stress us out and lower our self esteem with its diagnostics, which give you a number that determines how "smart" we are. Many teachers and parents have questioned the use and helpfulness of i-Ready, but the student body has had the most retaliation... and been shut down the most.
The Round Rock ISD district spends an estimated cost of $3,036,000 on i-Ready per year, roughly $60 per student plus $6-8 on the diagnostics. This money could go to funding the schools on much more important things and paying the teachers better wages.
I think if we can get our student body and GUARDIANS to sign this there will be more of an effect, us students seem to need adult recognition, so we will get it, show this to your friends family, teachers, anyone, so that we can have a real change.

Takes away important homework time that causes doing extra circulars harder and more stressful. Please ban this and help many students get their grades up.
I very dislike iready iready is teaching me things i already know and isn't this why we have teachers to teach us things not bots?
Iready makes me dread advisory, i GENUINLY could be doing actual work im not even joking, i rather pull out my ACTUAL math homework, thats at the level im at right now, then waste my twenty five minutes of advisory on math iready thats set in the third grade, with unskipable ai sounding voice text and slow AND confusing dumb steps, im so done with iready.
Students don't have time for things like I-Ready anymore. As well as being a waste of money, it is also a waste of time and effort.
I cant believe MILLIONS of dollars are getting wasted on something literally everyone hates

Advisory is a time for working on GRADED assignments and studying. not doing some math even though we already have math and ELA in our curriculum.
