Reading Plus has done no good to the students of Massillon Middle School. It has caused a remote level of stress, it's caused Honor Roll students grades to drop, and has had many complaints.
I say we put an end to it.
The teachers put Reading Plus in as such a high grade, it could drop your grade from as far as 5%. It causes a great amount of stress to the kids, who can be learning more productively and at their own pace. Instead of Reading Plus (that controls how fast you read), we should be reading at the stance we like. We are basically being forced to do Reading Plus weekly, and nothing is being done by the complaints. I (and many others) say this could help raise awareness on how we feel about the issue.

It brings great levels of stress to people in my class and I was an honor role student but reading plus brought my grade down to a D + I was so mad
I sign this because when I went to Massillon before I started homeschooling. I had to do reading plus, and I know there is a better way to improve the reading speed and comprehension of your students. I want to focus on how a class reading is so effective! It can help bring a class room together, it will inspire conversation with the guidance of a teacher, and reading comprehension can overflow with the right guidance. I think pushing the BRILLIANT MINDS of the future into a computer, instead of coming together as a class is not right. Think of the best for all students! And teachers! Challenge them with a classroom reading!
Reading plus is worth less to me. I didn't even finish start up... And some how I'm on level G when I can't complete level A.
Reading plus makes people feel down.Like say your friends have a high level then you. like charity said its set standards. reading plus should not be a thing!!!!!!!

Being able to read at a quick pace means nothing if the student can't comprehend what they are saying. This program does not sound beneficial at all to the students that have to partake in it.
