WHEN DR. EDWARD JACKSON WAS CHANCELLOR OF SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY OF BATON ROUGE HE DECIDED TO CHANGE THE COLORS OF THE GRADUATION CAPS AND GOWNS FROM BLACK TO COLUMBIA BLUE BECAUSE HE STATED IT WAS AN OLD TRADITION TO GRADUATE IN SCHOOL COLORS. WELL, I DID RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT NOT TO BE TRUE. THE COLUMBIA BLUE ROBES MAKES THE STUDENT BODY LOOK AS IF WE ARE GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND NOT COLLEGE. IF YOU WANT THE COLOR OF THE CAP AND GOWNS TO CHANGE SIGN THE PETITION
