As some of you may know our Great Cabrillo High is trying to change our school colors to Black and Yellow. A very small few of the administration (the one with the power), took it upon themselves to make this decision for the whole students body; past, present and future. They did not once take the time to ask the student body if they wanted this change. They stated that the reason for this change was to match that of Cal State Long Beach. Cabrillo high school has always been Green Black and White since 1995. Why it is after nearly 20 years is there such a need for a change. The current students at Cabrillo are not happy about this change, and I my Self a graduate of Cabrillo Class of 2007 is not pleased at all. In the past two years they had add a Florescent green to the mix which help bring out our Green Black and White. With this new color ADDED, it still allowed alumnae to come back and still rock our colors. If they change the school color what will we have to connect with? Let’s make a stand, let Rock our Green and Black. Why change something that works. Let’s not let this new administration Change us with this Black and yellow. Please take this time to sign and pass on this petition to our entire Jaguar family. Let’s, let them know that Green Black and White is the only way to go. With this petition we will take it to Long Beach Unified School District and stop this change before it happen. Thanks you for your support.

I have been staring at these school colors all day and it just makes no sense why they want to copy someone else when our own identity is totally fine. So many graduates have reached out to tell me their own stories about wearing the green and black and honestly it makes me feel like we really are onto something here because why fix what is not even broken. I am headed to the district office later to see if anyone will actually listen to us instead of just making decisions behind closed doors.

my brother goes there now and he hates the new colors. stick to the original
Class of 2012 here. this is so dumb. leave our colors alone. we are jaguars not whatever they think we should be.
