Many people feel as though the change in the color of the cap and gown from white and blue to red is a sudden, and unfair change. No student and/or parent was informed of this change until after the deposits for caps and gowns were made. It is understandable that the reasoning for the change is to support gender equality in order to make each and every person feel comfortable, but the way the decisions were made is not fair. The senior portraits have been taken in white and blue gowns, so the reasoning of the color being changed all of a sudden is unclear. Some students have previously planned to wear an older siblings gown, and now that is not an option anymore due to the change of color and it is possibly too late to order a new gown. The class of 2017 would prefer that the tradition of white and blue gowns should be carried on. The student should be able to choose what color he/she would like to wear on graduation day.

I really did not think this would take off like it did because it felt like such a small thing at first but seeing everyone jump on board makes me feel like we are actually onto something here. It is just wild to see so many people frustrated about the gowns and honestly it makes the whole situation feel way less lonely now that I see how many of you feel exactly the same way about the colors.

I totally disagree with the sudden change parents of seniors are spending a lot of money already in our kids this year so it is not fair that we were not even notified of this possible decision. If you definitely change them I demand picture retakes at your own expense because I already put money on mine.
allow the students to decide which of the colors they feel comfortable in, blue or white ... not sure why that doesn't solve the issue
I'd like my little sister to wear the gown me and my older sister wore. Has a sentimental meaning to our family
Already ordered, should stay blue and white! Do this when everyone knows of it not at the last minute!
I don't like how no one was informed. Other kids are using their siblings old gowns and now it's too late. It was VERY unorganized
