Graduation is a special event in a student's life and an achievement to be celebrated with family and friends. It should be organized in such a way that the graduates' parents, siblings and relatives can attend without undue inconvenience and then continue the celebration together in whichever way they choose.
We do not agree with the current scheduled start time of 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. We feel that this will limit the number of family members who are able to attend this once in a lifetime event. We also feel that this is unfair to both the graduates and their families.
Therefore we, the undersigned petitioners, respectfully request that the members of the administration of St. George Catholic School change the start time of the event to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 or move the event to a Saturday so that those who wish to attend can do so without missing work or school. We thank you for your consideration of this important request.
