I am asking for you to sign this petition to be presented to the Board of Education at the next meeting over our objections of moving the graduation from the original day of Friday June 10 to Monday June 13. This move has created a tremendous amount of anxiety in my house as my daughter graduation was already set for Monday June 13 when Galloway Schools decided to move 8th grade to the same night and the same time. The Board of Ed decided to approve the calendar in having the last scheduled day of school on Monday the 13th, but we would like to still have the graduation ceremony on Friday June 10. I know as a parent even if I didn't have this HUGE obstacle in our lives, I still would rather have graduation on a Friday night as opposed to a Monday. This way everyone can relax and enjoy the night and not worry about getting up for work the next day. To reinstate, the graduation has and had been set for Friday June 10 for over a year now, so people were already planning that day. They have already decided to add the extra day so kids have to go back on Monday anyway, lets all be able to celebrate on Friday night.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many of you stepped up to support this change. This momentum belongs entirely to the families who spoke up to protect our original plans. It is truly humbling to see such a strong response to a situation that felt so isolating at first.

Please do not schedule 8th grade graduateion on same day as GEHRHS graduations. This is a milestone for our children and we shouldn't have to pick which one we will see accept a hard earned diploma. Thank you for your consideration.
I would be concerned if both of my children had their graduation same night and time in two different locations! I was surprised also that both Absegami and GTMS had there talent shows on the same night too. I would have liked to go to both!! I am sure I'm not the only one.
Plenty of days in June. The utmost priority should be placed on separate graduation days for ALL schools in the area!
Please keep graduation for Friday don't change it!!!!
Please have the graduations on separate nights. A parent should not have to choose which child's graduation to go to.
Poor planning on behalf of the schools. Separate the dates.

I am KRISTIN & Shawn grandmother, we live in Maryland and I am handicapped. There is no way that I can get to both schools the same day. Even with the distance I am very close to both of them. How do I tell Shawn , who is autism that I am going to his sisters graduation or vise versa. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL DOING THAT!!!!!!
