Seeing this much support for our local green space has been overwhelming. My children play on this field every day and knowing so many of you care about losing it gives me so much hope.

I was brought up in the house next to the path than runs alongside the rec and my mother still lives there. I don't think this carpark idea has been thought out well at all. It is one of the few green spaces in Standish and to turn it into a carpark is so sad. There is already a ridiculous amount of traffic around green lane and surely besides anything else this will encourage more parents of children at Woodford to park there meaning more children in danger. Turning it into a park/nature space would be nice but could attract trouble from youths. Leave it as it is!!!!!

I grew up on Aldford way and the rec was a huge part of my childhood. My 13 son and his friends spend hours playing football on it in the school holidays.such a waste if it goes .

The rec needs some long overdue investment so that more people can enjoy the limited amount of green space left in Standish. It should not be turned into a carpark of any size.

I feel that the car park will add additional traffic to green lane that will cause problems for the school and residents. The lights are equipped for additional traffic. The yellow box can't handle it thus creating more queues and congestion.

The Rec was gifted to the people of Standish Children for recreation. No way should this gift be destroyed.

Here's Gazza, I really don't know who I am or what I do but I know I'll make an issue out of a non issue and insult people as I'm a nasty, vile little nobody
