We, the residents of Midlothian and supporters, demand that the wages of the area's sports coaches and instructors are protected in order to preserve the current level of activities for both children and adults in the Midlothian Area. Cuts in this area will greatly affect the health and wellbeing of all age groups, from young children through to the elderly, which is unacceptable considering the rising issues in the population’s health and fitness. With Midlothian class and memberships costs due to rise it is unacceptable to expect the level of service to fall with the cancellation of a large percentage of the current schedule.
This petition will be submitted to Midlothian Council on Monday 15th April 2013 at a Special Council Meeting in Council Chambers, Midlothian House, Dalkeith.
We just hit 250 signatures and I am honestly running on fumes. Seeing this kind of backing keeps me going even when the council makes it feel like we are fighting a brick wall.

These coaches are the only reason my dad gets out the house for his fitness sessions. total disgrace to even think about cutting this.
