There is an ill informed populist transcript & media being distributed with totally unsubstantiated information in circulation about a windturbine in Parteen, Co. Clare. This has put pressure on, to force the decision by Clare County Council to issue a "decommission and removal" order over a small and common planning compliance matter. The wind turbine had FULL planning permission WITH NO OBJECTIONS, it is farcical to think that its removal is the only option after the huge amount of resources and money that has been invested in it from a company that employs 70 people in the locality for over 30 years. The wind turbine is part of the companies sustainability plan to maintain and possibly grow employment in the area. There are also huge environmental savings with the wind energy aswell as efficiencies by generating on site. The removal of this turbine would set a detrimental precedence for future climate change and green energy projects. PLEASE SHARE to try and make more like minded people aware and allow for proper due process. Thank you.

Would much rather look at a wind turbine from my house than smog in 20 years time. Awful pity that the council and TD involved never engage with the under 40s who will have to face the repercussions of these actions in the years to come.
It’s so sad, the most progressive thing to happen in Parteen since the Ardnacrusha power station has got caught up in an internal FF feud, Crowe v Doodley and a handful of selfish NIMBY voters.
This is a super silent turbine. 42dBa at 250 meters. A library is 42dBa a lorry 80-90dBa and a jet engine 120dBa. Much quieter than the lorries flying up and down the roads around Parteen spewing particulates and carbon into the air. Nimby ism at its worst.
Live locally, very close to it and have heard people saying that my house has objected to it due to location, absolutely not. Reminds us all everyday what we must do to help the climate. TURBINE TO STAY
I believe thats why there are trying to become more sustainable with wind and solar projects. Plastic unfortunately is a necessity and has to come form someplace, I would prefer it coming from here locally from a responsible company trying to make positive change instead of it being shipped half way around the world.

I work locally in a petrol station and all the people I talk to about it are in favour of it staying. Support local investment and support local jobs. Someone said they had other renewable systems in planning stages like solar panels. Go green for Parteen.
