There are always idiotic objectors, even to the best of ideas. Perhaps they would prefer a nuclear power plant in moneypoint.

I seem to remember a case here in Ireland where a school had erected a turbine and the complain was they received no payment for the excess power generated when school was not in session. It seems that this turbine was OK to be in the proximity of the school so what's the issue with this one? It also seems no injections were raised at the time so why now? There also seems to be the customery ,not in my back yard attitude, when people are asked about turbines Oh I'm all for renewables but no here or there, or there! So what's it to be ? Government quick to impose carbon taxation but are happy with the emmisions of the everyday school runs of thousands every school day . Time to start getting the priorities right.

Keep the wind turbine and give recognition to the Company that installed it.

It is incomprehensible that such a progressive initiative by a company to tackle it's carbon footprint in such a meaningful way will be reversed by the Clare Council. This should not be allowed happen.

Good environmental initiative from the company who installed it. Great Asset to the community and it should not be removed.

The government will hardly get to 51% reduction in carbon if they talk about takin this down! more of it and solar parks too.

I think the turbine is a great asset to the community. Reminds everyone of what we need everyday to help climate change. 51% reduction in Carbon wont be achieved by taking it down
